Here's What's Going Down.
The 2018-2019 school year has begun, and with it comes much of the same; sheet signs, porch furniture, a crowded UD book store and the quest for first-years with overflowing meal plans. But at Flyer Enterprises, the word of the semester is NEW. New products, new hires and even newly renovated divisions!
Welcome home, Flyers. Here's what's going down at all your (highly-missed) FE spots.
Over the summer, Heritage Coffeehouse ordered a brand new espresso machine with automatic features. The staff there hopes that the addition will slow down prep time and ultimately decrease the wait time for customers. The Coffeehouse is also serving a new brand of coffee called "3-19 Coffee," started by two brothers from San Francisco who value great coffee and valuable connection.
The blend and the Blend Express has implemented TV screens behind the bar, not only simplifying the ordering process for customers, but giving the divisions a fresh modern look!
After undergoing a massive renovation last year, ArtStreet Cafe has adjusted their hours and will be open until 11pm during the weekdays. Last semester, they added quinoa and acai bowls to the menu - the perfect dinner or refreshing treat for upcoming Thursday Night Live performances!
Say goodbye to the logo to your left; the Chill is re-branding! For the first few weeks of school, students have been missing their refreshing post-workout smoothies while the division has been undergoing a full renovation. But in a few short weeks, the Chill will be reopening with new fruits and toppings, equipment like blenders and sinks, and a "sleek and clean" new take on their logo and signage. Check out upcoming blog posts for more detailed information.
Last year, Stu's had one of it's best years to date using new promotions to attract first-year students - and anyone willing to make the walk - to the shop. On opening day August 17th employees handed out samples in the Stuart lobby, introducing themselves to their new customers.
If you purchase a breakfast item at The Jury Box, enjoy a free drip coffee along with it! And keep your eyes our for a new pizza on the menu - the "1959," a classic Hawaiian pizza with a fun twist. TJB is now open Monday-Thursday from 7:30-7:00 and Fridays from 7:30-3:00.
